Fundraising for Your Travel

We understand that traveling, especially with a family, can be quite expensive and that travel costs may be a hindrance to your in-person attendance at the 2024 Bloom Syndrome Patient and Family Conference. We encourage attendees to do their own personal fundraising to help cover these costs. To assist you in your fundraising efforts, we have created a Fundraising Letter Template which can be personalized and then sent to your family, friends, and other circles of influence to solicit financial support.

Please click this link to access the template. Note that, prior to sending the letter, you will want to personalize it at the various bracketed text locations, with your own family names, personal information, and links to GoFundMe or other donation avenues.

Travel Grants

If personal fundraising is not feasible nor sufficient, the BSA has set aside a modest fund to further support in-person attendance. Each individual/family/group is eligible to receive a travel grant from the BSA for up to three nights of one double room accommodation at the conference hotel, subject to the availability of funds.

If you would like request a travel grant, you may indicate this on your conference registration form.
